REVIEWS

MI & TX families met for a family reunion. We had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful & so peaceful. There was a pavilion where we congregated for meals, fellowship and fun. The location of the property was centrally located for going off property to take in things like, Kayaking, Mammoth Cave, Grand Ole Opry, antique shopping & tours for the history buffs in the group. Highly recommend you consider this property for your next get together!Belle K. | http://downhomefamily.com/band/

This place is great for a get away yet close enough to get to the big city. A lot of land and deer and birds. Very peaceful and a great place for kids to play and have a great time.Pamela G. Georgia

Thank you so much for letting us experience the most wonderful week that we had on the farm. It was much more than we expected it to be. It so peaceful and quiet, and the beauty of the house and the surroundings were just amazing. It was the perfect place for my brother and sister with their spouses to meet us for a family get together.Sherry W.

Cozy, charming and wonderful. We just enjoyed a 4-night stay at this beautiful home. It was absolutely perfect for two couples. The photos on the web, though lovely, don’t do it justice.Huyentran H.

From the tranquil setting to the spotless cabin, we couldn’t have asked for more. The wonderful owners went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back!Timothy M.

Very enjoyable stay, beautiful wooded area, beautiful home, beds were comfy, perfect for our three day stay passing through Nashville, then headed towards Pigeon Forge, TN. I would highly recommend to our family and friends!!Terri C.

We had a great time! This place is so close to Nashville but is so peaceful you wouldn’t think there was anything else around. Very cozy and the hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. Way better than a hotel in downtown.Jon K. | http://downhomefamily.com/band/

This place was just perfect. In fact the photos don’t do it proper justice. Neat as a pin, finished with beautiful oak country pieces, it’s about as perfect as can be. We spent the days in Nashville, only 1/2 hr. away, and the evenings/mornings in the quiet countryside, sitting on the porch, enjoying coffee and watching the turkeys walk by the pond.Philip I. Wow! We can’t stop talking about how wonderfully perfect our stay was. We cannot put into words the attention to detail that was put into this home. Upon arrival, we felt immediately a sense of warmth and welcome…and home. The house is beautifully decorated and every aspect reflects knowledge of interior design and love for all things country. This was for sure the cleanest home we’ve ever stayed in on one of our trips. We didn’t want to leave!Lisa F.

Southern Country Farm was truly a home away from home. The fully equipped kitchen cut down on our dining out costs. We enjoyed peaceful country solitude yet we were at the Grand Ole Opry in 30 minutes in Nashville. Each time we sat on the porch we were joined by hummingbirds that seemed as curious about us as we were about them. By far the best place we have ever stayed away from home.Cheryl M. Weymouth

We were looking for accommodations for at least six in a quiet, off the beaten path rural area, surrounded by but not hemmed in by trees and with trails for our birdwatchers and an open fields to enjoy peace and the wildlife. There are other cottages on the property, and nearby, but not so close that one might feel that one’s privacy was being compromised. Local stores and eateries are as close as 2 miles away. A perfect match for our needs.Bill R.

My friends and I visited from Chicago, looking for a relaxing vacation far away from the city. We found exactly what we were looking for here. The whole property is picturesque, from the house, to the catfish pond, to the surrounding woods. It was a delight to wake up here each morning. Overall, we were incredibly satisfied with our stay!Matthew T.

We traveled south from Indiana for a wedding in Nashville with family.
Coming back to the tranquility of the farm was welcome after each day of wedding festivities or exploring Nashville! We so enjoyed the peaceful beauty of the farm, coffee on the front porch while watching the flora and fauna, or walking on the nature trails. In the evening, the sunsets were beautiful while walking down to the catfish pond or watching the early summer harvest.Vanessa D.

This place is GREAT!!! The house had everything we needed from a fully equipped kitchen to a washer/dryer, comfortable beds, towels & linens, movies to watch, etc. The WiFi/internet speed was quite fast and consistent. We didn’t even have to bring things for the night we decided to cook supper on the fire in the fire pit! The house had firewood, hot dog sticks, bug spray, and lawn chairs! We had 4 generations staying here. Every one of us would agree that it was the perfect place to stay! The owners were absolutely WONDERFUL to us and we will not hesitate to say here again.Sharon. K

This was a very nice home and had everything you could think of for your stay there, very peaceful and secluded. The owners were the greatest. If you needed anything they were available for you. Almost felt like you were staying with family. I would recommend these properties to anyone. We did just about everything in Nashville but It was very nice to come home here at the end of the day, instead of a motel room, we will be coming back!JULIE H.
